Experience
A founding shareholder of Allen, Stein & Durbin, Jennifer Gibbins Durbin has more than 30 years of experience as a trial lawyer, having handled complex cases involving insurance defense, extra contractual litigation, auto collisions, dram shop, complex insurance coverage issues, premises liability, defamation and products liability. Ms. Durbin's experience and dedication has earned her an "AV" peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating available. She has also consistently been selected for inclusion in the "Texas Super Stars," a Texas Monthly publication, from 2011-2018. She has also been voted one of "San Antonio's Best Lawyers" (a publication of S.A. Magazine) by attorneys throughout the San Antonio area..
Ms. Durbin focuses her practice on lawsuits involving negligence, products liability, premises liability, wrongful death, breach of contract, common law and statutory fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, bad faith, litigation and general civil litigation and mediation/ADR. She has also received formal training to serve as an arbitrator through the Conflict Solutions of Texas Arbitration Training course and in 2011 and 2012.

Education
In 1980 Ms. Durbin received dual degrees, a B.A. in Education and a B.S. in English from Southern Methodist University. She received her J.D. from St. Mary's University School of Law of San Antonio in 1984 and was admitted to practice law in Texas. She is also admitted to the U.S. District Court, Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas.
Publications
Ms. Durbin has been a frequent speaker and contributor to programs and publications in various areas of tort litigation. In addition, Mrs. Durbin was selected by the State Bar of Texas Litigation Section as a contributing author to the article “Texas Trailblazers and Their Texas-Size Balancing of Professional and Personal Success” – The Advocate, Volume 49 – Winter 2009

Admitted 1984; served on the Board of Directors elected for District 10, Place 2 - 2001 to 2004, appointed to serve on the Executive Committee of the State Bar Board of Directors - 2001; served on numerous committees within the State Bar of Texas, including a member of the Administration Committee, chairing the Sub-Committee established to evaluate Executive Director and General Counsel of the State Bar of Texas, and the Committee for Professionalism - 2009; State Bar of Texas Editorial Board - 2001 to 2004. Most recently Ms. Durbin was appointed in 2017 to serve on the Grievance Committee for a three-year term. -

In addition to the above, Ms. Durbin is a Fellow in the Texas Bar Foundation and the San Antonio Bar Foundation and has served her community by volunteering her time and services to the Community Justice Program since its inception by providing legal services to the indigent.
Ms. Durbin also enjoys serving as a mediator in a variety of different types of cases, working hard to secure a satisfactory resolution for all concerned
Ms. Durbin presented Ethics: When the Right Thing To Do Might Be Wrong, to the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter Society (September, 2011). In 2018, Mr. Durbin received the 2018 Women's Business Owner Award presented by the National Organization of Women Business Owners.
